HKP Teachers Embark on Cultural Journey to Jiangxi to Deepen National Pride

From April 13, a 25-member teacher delegation from Hou Kong Premier School, led by Vice Principal Niu Lanzhen, undertook a five-day educational tour through Jiangxi province with support from Macao's Education Fund. This immersive experience allowed educators to connect with China's profound historical legacy while strengthening their cultural confidence and teaching expertise.

The journey began in Wuyuan, where teachers explored picturesque Hui-style villages, wandering through ancient settlements like Likeng and Huangling to appreciate their timeless charm. In Jingdezhen, the group delved into China's ceramic heritage at the China Ceramic Museum and the Ancient Kiln Folk Customs Exhibition Zone, marveling at the exquisite craftsmanship spanning millennia. The itinerary continued to Lushan, where educators visited the stunning Xiufeng Waterfall and The Academy of the White Deer Cavern, reflecting on traditional Chinese scholarly values. The final leg took them to Nanchang's iconic Tengwang Pavilion and the August 1st Uprising Memorial, where teachers gained profound insights into China's revolutionary history through detailed docent explanations.

Participating teachers unanimously reported significant professional and personal enrichment from this journey. Many expressed renewed commitment to incorporating these cultural experiences into their teaching practice and nurturing students' appreciation for Chinese heritage and patriotic values.

This meaningful expedition not only strengthened the faculty's cultural awareness but also reinforced their shared mission to cultivate the next generation of culturally-grounded, patriotic Macao youth.
