HKP School’s Parent Open-Class Program Goes Smoothly
To strengthen communication between home and school and work together for students’ growth, Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School held parent open-class lessons from mid-March to mid-April 2026. The theme was “Family and School Together, Helping Students Grow.”
This program included many subjects: Chinese, Math, English, English Reading, General Studies, Computer, Physical Education, Music, and Art. Lessons were planned for each age group.
Lower grades focused on building good learning habits and learning in a fun way.
Upper grades focused more on developing thinking skills and practicing critical thinking.
Teachers also used modern technology to help students learn, such as tablets, intelligent robots, and AI speaking/listening assessment tools. Activities in class included role-play, fun experiments, and hands-on tasks. Lessons also included online literacy education, helping students understand ideas more easily.
Parents who attended were able to see how their children were learning and how teachers interacted with students. They gave positive feedback on the lesson design, teaching style, student performance, and the school’s organized teaching and technology support.
Overall, the parent open-class program helped teachers grow professionally and helped families and the school understand each other better. The school will continue improving teaching and strengthening home-school cooperation to support students’ full development.
