HKP Builds a Healthy Childhood Through Parent-child Sports Day

As the excitement of the National Games spreads across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, the playground at Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School was filled with cheers for sports. On November 22, inspired by the 15th National Games, the school held a parent-child sports day for P1 and P2 students called "I Exercise, I Am Healthy, I Am Happy." This event brought families together and celebrated the spirit of sports.

The event began with Vice Principal Niu talking about how teachers and students participated in this year's National Games. She encouraged everyone to embrace hard work, friendship, and dedication through sports, learning teamwork and perseverance. Miss Lam, the Vice Chair of the Parent-Teacher Association, added that this sports day responds to the excitement of the National Games and highlights the importance of family involvement in children's activities.

The opening performances featured lively dances like "Pounding Beats, Dancing into the Future" by P1s and the charming "Little Frogs" by P2s. Both grades showcased fun routines that displayed their energy and spirit.

The parent-child games truly brought the spirit of the National Games to life. In one game, parents helped push a cart while their kids moved forward with excitement. The other game had everyone in a line, working together in sync. Laughter filled the air as participants learned that "working together leads to success," creating joyful moments between families.

This event reflected the school's commitment to the National Games and the idea of "Sunny Sports," connecting love for country and family through sports. The school believes that letting children experience the excitement of the National Games and joining in family activities helps them build strength and character, shaping a new generation that values teamwork and community.
