Awakening Wisdom: Setting Aspirations for Tomorrow

On November 7, 2025, Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School held a warm "Opening of the Pens" ceremony for first graders. Principal Yao, Vice Principal Niu, guests from the Parent-Teacher Association, and all P1 students and their parents came together to celebrate this important moment.

The ceremony started with a cheerful dance titled "Writing Good Chinese Characters, Being a Good Chinese Person." Vice Principal Niu then delivered a speech, urging students to see this ceremony as the beginning of their learning journey and to develop good character.

The event included several meaningful activities. In the "Clothing and Cap" part, students tidied their clothing while reciting the "Disciples' Rules," learning the importance of proper attire. During the "Red Powder for Wisdom" segment, guests and teachers marked the students' foreheads with red dots, wishing them wisdom and bright futures. In the "Drumbeat of Aspiration," representatives struck a drum together, expressing commitments to honor elders and love learning.

The "Gratitude to Parents" section featured students singing "With You, I'm Happy," showing their appreciation for their parents. The most touching moment was when Principal Yao demonstrated writing the character "人" (person), and students carefully traced along with their parents, reflecting on what it means to be human.

This ceremony combined traditional culture with education, planting seeds of confidence and a love for learning in the new students. May this special event become a treasured memory and inspire them to grow into thoughtful and cultured young individuals.
